Once, the Shopify sync is already done, your shopping assistant is automatically trained on data from your Shopify store. This includes data on your products, descriptions and other product-related things. Additionally, you can add more data to train your bot to fine-tune answers on more topics via the ‘Custom data’ tab on the Customize dashboard:

Since the Shopify sync is already done, your shopping assistant is automatically trained on data from your Shopify store. This includes data of your products, descriptions and other product related things. Additionally you can add more data to train your bot to fine tune answers on more topics via ‘Custom data’ tab on the Customize dashboard:

FAQs:

For any data including FAQs not available on your Shopify or incorrectly fetched from there can be custom trained using FAQs section. Simply, click Add FAQs > Add the Questions and their respective answers > Add any relevant products related to the answer (if required) > Save the FAQs

Custom data files:

Apart from the automatically fetched data, you can also upload your own PDF files to train your shopping assistant. It can include additional product information, company profile, policy/ customer agreement and a lot more.

  • You can upload a maximum of 5 PDF files.

  • Each PDF can be up to 5 MB large.

  • You can either directly upload a PDF file from your device or add URL to a PDF file. The PDF URL needs to be publicly accessible. There isn’t any specific format for the PDF doc but for reference you can download the sample file.

Fetched links

Additional to the product information, Manifest also fetches any pages available on your store (policy pages, about us page, other blogs & articles, etc.) in order to further train your shopping assistant.

You can see a list of all such pages which have been used to train the assistant in the ‘Custom data’ tab (below Upload PDF section).

  • You can also use the ‘Sync’ button to fetch any newly added links for training.

  • You can click on ‘Open in a new tab’ icon to view a particular link in detail.

  • You can also delete a particular if you do not wish your assistant to have access to the particular link.

Note: Links once deleted wouldn’t be available for training even if you use the ‘Sync’ button. Please reachout to [email protected] for further help.

👟 Products

Once, your Shopify is synced with Manifest. You will be able to see the products it is synced/ trained on under the ‘Products’ tab. If you do not want the bot to answer question related to a specific product, then you can simply toggle OFF the visibility of the product from the list of your Shopify product.

To ease the finding of the desired product, you can use the filter by Status or Collections or jump pages.

🟢 Test or make it live

Once done, you can either:

  1. Test on website: It will add the AI Assistant widget on a unique Homepage UTM accessible only to you. You can test and explore by interacting with the assistant.

  2. Publish on website: Once satisfied with the test you can make it live on your website directly from here. Or you can choose to explore more customization from the dashboard before taking it live.

    • You’ll be able to publish or test your shopping assistant on your website only after the data sync has been completed.

    • Before can publish the assistant or test, you need to ensure the app is embedded on your Shopify admin panel. Check the steps below to embedd the app

      1. On the homepage click on the ‘Publish changes’ button at the top right corner > ‘Embed app on Shopify’.

      2. In the Shopify Admin panel, go to Online Store > Themes > Customize. On the left side bar, click on ‘App embeds’ > Enable the ‘BIK Embed Block’ and click the ‘Save’ button on the top right corner.

  3. Once complete, you can return to your Manifest dashboard and chose to either test, publish or further customize your AI assistant.

💬 Messages

Check visitor real interaction with bot once it is live by going to the ‘Messages’ section in the left menu.

Don’t worry. Just thumb down that conversation, it will alert the team at Manifest who will respond to you in less than 24 hrs and get your bot trained to answer similar questions the next time.
