Assistant User Interface

In the Assistant User Interface, you can configure Quick Actions (buttons) and Conversation Starters for every page of your store. These features make it easier for customers to start interacting with the AI and improve engagement.

Both Quick Actions and Conversation Starters can be connected with custom flows, journeys, or intents, allowing you to guide customers effectively.


Quick Actions

Quick Actions are buttons displayed on different pages that allow customers to take immediate actions. You can configure up to 3 Quick Actions per page.

Default Quick Actions:

By default, two Quick Actions are pre-added on all pages:

  1. Track Order – Allows customers to track their order.

  2. Talk to an Agent – Triggers an agent handover.

You can disable these default actions if not required and add your own customized buttons.

Custom Quick Actions:

You can add additional Quick Actions using the “Add custom action” button.

  • Quick Actions can be enabled or disabled at any time.

  • They can also be disabled for specific pages.


How to Configure Quick Actions:

  1. Navigate to Customize → Behaviour in the Manifest dashboard.

  2. Click on Assistant User Interface.

  3. Enter a display name for your Quick Actions.

  4. Click on Add custom action.

  5. Choose between:

    • Custom Action → Enter a Quick Action Title and Quick Action Query.

    • Custom Workflow → Provide a Quick Action Title and select a workflow from the dropdown.

  6. Click Save to apply changes.

  7. To disable Quick Actions, toggle off the option.


Conversation Starters

Conversation Starters are suggested questions shown to customers to encourage interaction.

  • By default, AI generates relevant conversation starters based on your store data.

  • You can configure up to 5 questions per page.

  • They can be linked to FAQs, journeys, intents, or quizzes.

  • You can edit, rearrange (drag-and-drop), select/unselect via checkboxes, or delete them.

  • Note: Conversation Starters can only be enabled/disabled globally, not per page.

Customizing Conversation Starters:

You can add new questions manually or use existing FAQs. You can also reset back to default AI-generated conversation starters anytime.

Edit Conversation Starters – Available Options:

  1. Add Conversation Starter → Add a custom question.

  2. Journeys or Intent → Link the starter to a journey or intent.

  3. Select from Existing FAQs → Choose from FAQs already added. (Previously selected FAQs will be disabled).

  4. Trigger Quiz → Assign a starter to trigger a quiz. (Only the text can be edited; the intent is fixed as Start the quiz).


How to Add & Edit Conversation Starters:

  1. Go to Customize → Behaviour in the Manifest dashboard.

  2. Open Assistant User Interface.

  3. Enable or disable Conversation Starters as needed.

  4. Select the page you want to customize.

  5. Choose the maximum number of questions (1 to 5).

  6. Click Add Conversation Starter or use the Edit icon for an existing one.

  7. Update the question text.

  8. Assign a Journey or Intent OR select an existing FAQ OR choose Trigger Quiz and set the text.

  9. Save the changes.

  10. Select the checkbox for the new/edited conversation starter and click Save changes.

  11. Repeat for other pages as needed.

  12. Use the Delete icon to remove starters.

  13. Use Reset to Default to restore AI-generated conversation starters.

AI-generated conversation starters will only be displayed on the homepage.


FAQs

1) How many Quick Actions can I configure per page?
You can configure up to 3 Quick Actions per page.

2) Can Conversation Starters be disabled for only one page?
No, Conversation Starters can only be enabled/disabled globally, not for individual pages.

3) Can I reset my customized Conversation Starters back to default?
Yes, you can use the Reset to Default option to restore AI-generated starters.

4) Can a Conversation Starter trigger a quiz?
Yes, you can configure a starter to trigger a quiz. In this case, only the text can be customized, and the intent is set as Start the quiz.

5) How many Conversation Starters can I configure?
You can configure up to 5 Conversation Starters per page.
