The Widget Visibility and App Embed Status features help you track whether the Manifest AI Assistant is live on your Shopify storefront.
For the assistant to appear on your site, the app embed must be enabled. Embeds are how Shopify integrates third-party apps like Manifest into your live theme.
Widget Visibility
Widget Visibility indicates whether the Manifest AI assistant is currently published and available to customers on your Shopify storefront.
App Embed Status
App Embed must be enabled to display the assistant. If the app embed is disabled, the AI assistant will not be visible, even if published. This status helps verify whether the assistant is properly integrated with your Shopify theme.
How to Publish the Manifest Widget
Install the Manifest AI app from the Shopify App Store.
Complete the onboarding steps and product tour.
Wait for product sync to complete. (You can customize your assistant while syncing takes place.)
Upgrade from the free plan to a paid plan.
After onboarding, you'll see a Publish on website button.
Click the dropdown next to Publish on website to choose visibility options:
Test with a few visitors – Set a percentage of users who will see the assistant.
Publish to all users – Make the assistant visible to everyone.
Click the Publish button to make it live.
If the app embed is not enabled, the app embed modal will appear.

How to Enable App Embed
Navigate to the Home page of the Manifest dashboard.
Click the "How to enable app embed" button.
A modal will open with step-by-step instructions and an accompanying video.
Click the "Embed App on Shopify" button.
In the Shopify Theme Editor, enable "Manifest Embed Block" and save your changes.
Alternatively, manually go to Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds, and toggle on the Manifest Embed Block.
How to Unpublish the Widget
Go to the Home page in the Manifest dashboard.
Click the Unpublish button (eye icon).
Or navigate to the Customise tab.
Click the contextual menu (three dots) at the top and select Unpublish Assistant.

Both Widget Visibility and App Embed Status are shown on the Home page of the Manifest dashboard once the widget is published.
This helps you quickly identify whether the AI assistant is live and properly integrated.
