Getting Your Chat Transcript: Email or Download

Manifest allows customers to easily retrieve a transcript of their recent conversation with the AI assistant. You can choose to receive the transcript via email or download it directly. The transcript includes the latest 12–15 messages, covering both your messages and the bot's responses.


How to Get Your Chat Transcript:

Follow these steps to access your chat history:

  1. Open your Shopify store where Manifest is installed.

  2. Start a conversation with Manifest and send a good number of messages.

  3. Once the conversation is underway, click the three-dot menu (⋯) near the avatar in the chat window.

  4. Select the option “Get chat transcript.”

  5. You will see two choices:

    • Get on Email – To receive the transcript in your inbox.

    • Download Chat – To open and download the transcript directly.

Currently, the transcript includes the latest 12–15 messages from your conversation.


To Receive Transcript via Email:

  1. Click “Get on Email.”

  2. Enter your email address when prompted and click Submit.

  3. The transcript will be sent to your inbox shortly.


To Download the Transcript:

  1. Click “Download Chat.”

  2. A document with the transcript will open in a new tab.

  3. You can view and save it as needed.


FAQs

1) Where will the transcript be sent if I choose the email option?

The transcript will be sent to the email address you provide in the input field.

2) What format is the downloaded transcript in?

The downloaded transcript appears as a plain-text document hosted via a Firestore document path.

3) Why can't I see older messages in the transcript?

Currently, only the latest 12–15 messages are supported for performance and privacy reasons.
